Eat Wisely

Start fueling up the day before you do your virtual runs so that you can ensure you have a full supply of carbohydrates and muscle glycogen in your system.

Doing a light carb load, especially if you a running 10k is an excellent idea.

Warm-Up

Next, be sure that you are warming up as well. Take five to ten minutes to perform a light warm-up before you begin your virtual runs. This could be as easy as some brisk walking around coupled with some light stretching activities.
